Patrons and Artist

Bran White, Artist in captivity performance

Patrons and Artists consisted of a body of paintings and a performance by Brian Fernandes-Halloran. The paintings depicted art patrons from a the naive and isolated eye of an emerging artist. Only witnessed in openings they apear to be a cold and secret people with bezarre taste and coded gestures. Bran White is the artist in captivity in the gallery. After graduating with his MFA he was told to enter the art world as much as possible in order to haver a fighting chance at success. He took this to heart and donated himself to be held in captivity in the back of the Frontrunner Gallery. There he could spend every waking and sleeping hour in the art world, trying to understand what he can do to "make it" as an emerging artist.
