Memory of two men eating curry-wurst , Wax, wood, chickenwire and cloth

Memory of Two Men eating Curry-wurst explores how one flash memory can transform and accrue greater meaning through an intricate recreation.Brian produced the piece during his 3 month residency at Homebase LAB Berlin to better understand why he retained a vivid memory of two men seen from the corner of his eye. The unresolved ambiguity of their interaction resonated with the artists relationship to Berlin as a transient figure.

The original Memory of the two men eating has been imbued with a layered narrative crafted in 3 months of extrapolation and self-reflection. The anonymous men made of wax, wood, wire and cloth imply a complicated psychology. The men are made human through enacting a series of contradictions. They are imposing yet delicate, intimate yet exposed, tired yet standing, speaking closely but into the distance.
