The unresolved ambiguity of their interaction resonated with the artists relationship to Berlin as a transient figure.

The anonymous men made of wax, wood, wire and cloth imply a complicated psychology.The men are made human through enacting a series of contradictions. They are imposing yet delicate, intimate yet exposed, tired yet standing, speaking closely but into the distance.
