Where I live

ToysrUS, Christmas Eve, oil on canvas, 144"x94"

'Where I live' both laments and celebrates contemporary America. The paintings parody common scenes but also portray a sweetness between people. Brian captures his afinitiy for the characters and his bewilderment at their shared surroundings and social norms. The pieces are not an act of damnation, rather one of acceptance. Nonesense provides enough spendor to merit its omnipresent existence in a place we call home.
